Before one of our clients was aware of the BNO process, they were involved in the development of a well-known, budget hotel, including two retail units and a Landlord’s supply.
They had obtained a quote from the local industry network operator and proceeded with the project. Once the project was 80% complete, it became apparent that the rest of the electrical infrastructure was not included in the quote and needed to be arranged. ECS responded swiftly to the request, providing a solution in very short timescales.
ECS reviewed the client’s existing project plan and quickly identified that the industry quote had been over specified. The revised plan delivered clear savings over and above the extra, unforeseen costs, thereby saving our client incurring any additional charges to complete the project.
ECS are ideally placed to bridge the gap that has been created by the BNO process between the electricity contractors and the industry players. The energy industry has its own terminology and processes are bound with red tape. Miscommunication and misunderstandings are likely to arise and ECS help to cut through potential issues by acting as ‘industry interpreter’ and easing the dialogue between client, contractor and 3rd parties from the industry.
