Historically, multi-occupied buildings’ cable networks were looked after by UKPN (UK Power Networks) or the local Distribution Network Operator.

Recent industry regulation changes mean that the internal cabling and network are now the responsibility of the freeholder/estate manager. Those parties responsible have not been notified as a matter of course, but are finding out either when something goes wrong, or when they attempt to update their network.

This issue was highlighted by our recent work for Malbury Court, from whom we received a call for BNO guidance and support.
